Our 11+ creative writing tuition is designed to nurture a passion for story telling. We teach students how to write imaginative stories which score well in exams without reducing creative writing to a box ticking exercise.
Year group: Year 4, 5 & 6 (KS2)
Students will learn:
- How to plan and write short stories which allow them to show off their writing skillset.
- How to write engaging description with a little narrative.
- How to write well-structure and persuasive essays.
- How to edit and proofread their writing, making it shine.

Students learn to how to respond to every comprehension question and close read texts.

Students will learn:
- Multiple choice exam technique.
- How to comment on literary devices, words and phrases.
- How to structure responses to written comprehension questions.
- How to interpret comprehension questions and how marks are awarded.

GCSE English (AQA, Edexcel & CAIE IGCSE)
Students learn how to read mark schemes, comment on the effects of writers’ methods, plan and structure lit essays, stories and transactional pieces.
We can cover both English Language and Literature for all of the exam boards above.

In our classes, KS3 students learn to analyze texts in context, allowing them to respond thoughtfully to diverse genres. As they enrich their vocabulary and build confidence, students prepare for the GCSE English challenges and foster a deep appreciation for language.
Year group: Year 10, & 11 (KS4), for students aged 14 to 16
Students will learn:
